This genuine Mattel plaid dress is from the 1998 “Pretty in Plaid” series featuring TNT dolls with high ponytails in different hair colors wearing stretchy plaid halter dresses in coordinating colors. This particular dress in pink and orange plaid originally came on a brunette Barbie and, although made for the twist-n-turn body style, will fit other dolls very well. Shown here on an Integrity Dynamite Girls doll with slender hips and bust.
NOTE: This dress is 17 years old, used, and not in perfect shape. Specifically, the vinyl collar trim has deteriorated and has begun flaking off. To prevent further flaking, the vinyl area has been coated with gel-base superglue, resulting in the collar trim hardening while still retaining enough flexibility to allow dolls to wear the dress. There is no guarantee that the vinyl collar trim will not continue to deteriorate over time with continued use, but if a doll is dressed and left wearing this garment without further manipulation, it’s possible this dress will retain what’s left of the orange vinyl coating at the top of the collar. For this reason, the dress is offered at a reduced price.

This lovely Fairytopia(R) Elina doll has been rebodied on a TNT Barbie body with jointed arms from the Generation Girl line (Lara), and has the non-removable fuchsia ribbon choker with gold bead adornment. Her golden blond long hair with thin gold tinsel is in the original factory style, and her rooted lashes are in great shape. She’s been redressed in the Secret Spells jacket-dress over a shiny pink lamé bandeau swim top with silver braided center halter ties and yellow lamé swim bottoms with a gold waistband and sprinkles of gold glitter. Pink strappy sandals complete the look. As a final touch, she’s supporting a purple dragonfly on her hand – truly in touch with her natural side.
