GOWN & ACCESSORIES. The Mattel Silkstone Barbie Fashion Model Collection designed by Robert Best began in 2000 and featured high-end fashions presented on the classic Silkstone body with six points of articulation and vintage upscale Barbie face sculpt. In 2016, a new body design with modern fashion doll articulation was introduced. In 2020, the line was discontinued, with occasional special reproduction collection offerings. In 2024, the BFMC was reintroduced, again with Robert Best designing and offering new fashions using the updated articulated body.

This ostentatious well-tailored mermaid gown is constructed of black satin with hot pink loose ruched opera-length gloves and an attached hot pink velveteen shoulder ruffle. A separate tulle underskirt adds volume to the mermaid skirt. The dress zips in the back and fits the Silkstone dolls and similar shaped dolls like Poppy Parker. Shown on a 2010 Integriy Nu Face doll. Shoes, jewelry, and hosiery are not included.
