This Mattel two-piece swimsuit comes from a 1996 Hula Hair Barbie. Orange bikini is made of stiff taffeta-like material with metallic gold swirls. Double straps in gold braided cord have Velcro-type fastener at the back of the neck, and a gold elastic cord tied at the lower back so it slips on over hips. Matching high-waist bikini bottom has back Velcro-type fastener. “Grass” skirt waistband snaps at the side, with yellow, orange, and pink fabric hibiscus blossoms attached. “Grass” portion of skirt is made of holographic gold tinsel for extra shimmer (back portion is open with no grass). This garment is designed for a gymnast type body, but with care can be put on a standard belly-button body as shown (although it’s much easier to get on and off a hard vinyl body). May fit other type dolls with slender hips and larger chest, like Integrity dolls.
