Candi: Asian “Extravagance” /1996 OOAK Restyle – (Redressed, Repainted, Rebodied)
Original price was: $64.99.$54.99Current price is: $54.99.
RESTYLED – REDRESSED, REPAINTED, REBODIED. This 1996 Helena Hamilton Design Systemes Asian-sculpt Candi doll was originally styled by the doll team duo MiKelman and Paul David, and packaged/sold as “Elegance.”
This doll’s original face paint was removed and expertly repainted (we don’t know by whom). She’s a stunning lady with darkly outlined soft brown eyes and soft warm, pink lips. Her black poly/nylon hair has been taken down from the original back-bun updo and restyled loose to better soften and frame her beautiful face. She has been rebodied on an older “wasp waist” Fashion Royalty tall body without removable hands. The body is in fair-to-good shape with expected age-loosened hips and knees, no neck cracks detected, a small ship on the right outer knee, and the hands a bit lighter and pinker than the naturally color-aged body that almost perfectly matches this lovely lady’s face.
She will come with the clothing/accessories shown – a nicely tailored kimono with obi in warm floral-patterned reds and browns and oranges, long delicate gold chain red-bead dangle earrings, and black Barbie-type sling-back heels. Don’t pass up this unique one-of-a-kind doll to add as a focal point in your collection.

Description
*NOTE 1: Doll vinyl will often become more brittle and delicate with age, as chemical softeners added to the vinyl in the manufacturing process will diminish over time. Fashion Royalty dolls are made of a harder vinyl than most play line dolls, so stress points (neck and other joint locations) on their bodies will tend to become more delicate. Please use care when posing/redressing/storing older dolls, as joints – especially the neck – can become stiff and brittle and more susceptible to breakage. If a head on an older FR doll will not turn or tilt with minimal pressure, DO NOT FORCE, as this could cause breakage.
*NOTE 2: Earrings with metal insert posts may pose a problem if left too long on a vinyl doll – especially if the vinyl is aging badly (seeping vinyl softener additives, or otherwise deteriorating – typical of very old vintage dolls more than 50 years old). Also extreme heat or moisture may create problems like mold or green ear. It’s advisable to check dolls periodically for problems when metal is in constant contact with vinyl. It is advisable to remove metal jewelry if a doll is being kept in storage for any length of time.
