R&D: Susie Blonde Streaked Bangs /2002-2004? #1 – (Redressed)

Description

The R&D Susie doll line was created in the early 2000’s by Rudi Teruel and David Wu of R&D Fashion Dolls of Taiwan. Susie was billed as a teenager from Taiwan, half-American and half-Chinese. These collector fashion dolls came with unique well-tailored location-themed or fantasy ensembles. The basic Susie doll has a rotating waist and articulated elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles. The Susie body is slightly smaller than standard belly-button Mattel Barbie but able to wear many of the same outfits and some of the shoes, with Susie’s feet being flat with a slightly larger toe area. R&D Fashion Dolls of Taiwan no longer offers dolls or clothing, but occasionally licenses the face sculpt, body design, and Susie name for collaborations with other doll companies such as Integrity Toys, Sekiguchi, and Petworks.
